Facial Anatomy Cadaver Training for Aesthetics Certification
Planned and implemented with the accreditation requirements and under the policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education alongside the joint providership of Medical Educational Resources, the activity is designated for a maximum of 9.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Additional Course Information
A safer, more reliable, and responsible face aesthetic practice may be achieved by having a full grasp of facial anatomy. While the incidence of complications related to injectable procedures is relatively low, there are still unwanted outcomes that can be permanent or non-reversible.
Attendees participating in the Phoenix Advanced Facial Anatomy Cadaver Training program can learn to reduce the incidence of possible complications by learning detailed protocols and techniques for different facial procedures.
During the training, attendees will learn how to avoid and manage the following complications:
By face area:
- Upper Face
- Mid Face
- Lower Face
Secondary to HA injections
- Bruises, Edemas (Common unsought outcomes)
- Ischemia, and impending necrosis
- Confirmed Necrosis
Associated with PDO Thread Placement:
- Bruises, Edemas.
- Bunching and Dimpling
- Depth of Barbed Thread Placement in the SMAS layer (Creating safe vectors to ensure superior aesthetic results)
Unlike other training programs, the Facial Anatomy Cadaver Training is taught by accomplished physicians, plastic surgeons, and cosmetic dermatologists that will share the “pearls” of their craft.
Students of the Scottsdale Facial Anatomy Cadaver Course can expect a combination of lecture presentations and extensive cadaver demonstrations for the corresponding facial anatomy. Having a proper understanding of facial anatomy boosts your confidence and allows for safer procedures with improved results.
- Attend cadaveric dissection using fresh frozen unembalmed cadavers in order to practice safe and proper facial aesthetics using cannulas, fillers, and PDO threads for non-surgical facial enhancement.
- Learn and identify relevant facial anatomy for corresponding aesthetic and restorative procedures while learning the respective indications for treatment, contraindications, possible risks, and managing patient expectations.
- Learn to perform non-invasive aesthetic treatments with the utmost efficiency and safety.
- Understand the underlying anatomical structures of the face in order to perform safe facial injection procedures.
- Identify the mechanism of action for motor and sensory nerves of the face, facial musculature, and underlying vascular as well as their relevance in context to aesthetic procedures.
- Expand your knowledge of facial ligaments, neural anatomy, facial musculature, and tissue characteristics and their relationship with aesthetic treatments and subsequent enhanced care for patients.
