Additional Course Information

Course Overview

If you're not sure if you want to commit to this course, let us tell you a little bit more about what you can expect from our Botox program.

This course is created to meet the needs of aspiring aesthetic practitioners in the New York area, and to achieve this, our bespoke training program combines didactic lectures with practice-orientated workshops.

The Botox training program provides the foundations of botulinum toxin Type-A and cosmetic indications for its use. Once you have completed the lecture part of the course, you will have the core knowledge needed to administer all common and not-so-common procedures involving Botox® and other popular facial aesthetics.

This course is approved for 8 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit hours.

When moving onto the practical section of the course, you will experience hands-on practice with actual patients and implement what you've learned on these people under the supervision of board-certified top-tier physicians. At this point, you will be given the opportunity to treat patients with a variety of common facial rhytids, including crow's feet, forehead lines, glabellar lines, dimpled chin, and other common facial complaints, giving you great first-hand experience.

Our expert instructors who have a wealth of experience in Botox treatments will guide you through each procedure. They will provide you with immediate feedback so that you can go back to your practice armed with the skills you need to administer Botox to your patients confidently.

You will also learn how to administer other popular aesthetic procedures throughout the weekend, including dermal fillers and facial aesthetic procedures.

All our programs are AMA PRA Category 1 Credit accredited so that you know you are getting premium quality training when you select us as your Botox program of choice.

Learn the latest cosmetic techniques from Empire's top-rated physicians and use what you learn to put your New York aesthetics practice on the map.

What to Do In New York

We can't imagine visiting New York City without taking some time to see the sights. Despite being a pretty intensive course, there should still be ample time once it's complete to sample the best of what New York has to offer. Here are some ideas of what to do to keep you entertained.

Sightseeing in New York City and the Surrounding Areas

Downtown Brooklyn is within walking distance of some of the most iconic sights in NYC and a short train ride from others. Consider visiting:

  • Brooklyn Bridge: The backdrop for countless films and TV shows, this iconic span is practically outside your door. If time is short, you can walk across and take the subway back.
  • Statue of Liberty and the Staten Island Ferry: Speaking of iconic. Take the ferry out to the Statue of Liberty, and don't forget to snap some pictures of the Manhattan skyline.
  • Ellis Island: Millions of Americans can trace their ancestry back to Ellis Island, the "front door" through which countless immigrants passed during the 19th and early 20th centuries.
  • Wall Street and the Battery: Cross the East River to Manhattan and pose in front of the famous Charging Bull statue. Then head down to Battery Park at the tip of Manhattan and watch the boats sail up New York Harbor.
  • World Trade Center Memorial (9/11 Memorial): Pay your respects at the nearby 9/11 Memorial, commemorating the more than 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001.
  • Times Square: You've seen the pictures, now see the real thing. Visit at night to get the full impact of all that LCD.
  • Empire State Building: It's no longer the tallest building in the city, but the Empire State Building is still a marvel of 20th-century engineering. Visit the observation deck on a clear day if the lines aren't too long.
  • Brooklyn Botanic Garden: Enjoy some tranquility at this beautiful urban oasis, which covers more than 50 acres in central Brooklyn and offers colorful displays throughout the year.
  • Prospect Park: Brooklyn's answer to Central Park is every bit as impressive as the Manhattan original.
  • Central Park: Stroll around the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir, lounge in Sheep Meadow, get lost in The Ramble, pay homage at the John Lennon Memorial at Strawberry Fields — the choice is yours.

Museums and Cultural Attractions in New York City

New York City is a world-class cultural capital and has so many unique and interesting things that you can do here. This is just a small sampling of what it offers.

  • Brooklyn Museum: This modern art museum holds its own against Manhattan titans like the Museum of Modern Art and the Guggenheim Museum.
  • Museum of Modern Art: Just about the finest collection of 19th, 20th, and 21st-century art you'll find anywhere.
  • American Museum of Natural History: Towering dinosaur skeletons, Ice Age dioramas, bewildering marine fossils — this place has something for everyone.
  • Metropolitan Museum of Art: An art collection so large it has to be housed in two locations: the main "Met" on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan and the Met Cloisters at Fort Tryon Park, near the northern tip of Manhattan.
  • Guggenheim Museum: Follow the iconic spiral ramp upward through galleries housing some of the best-known works of art from the past 150 years.
  • The Jewish Museum: Housed in an imposing mansion fronting Central Park, the Jewish Museum celebrates Jewish art and culture across more than 4,000 years of history.
  • The Frick Collection: The Frick specializes in painted works from the early Renaissance through the early 20th century.
  • Broadway Theatre District: Make time to catch a play on or off Broadway, perhaps after your spin through Times Square.
