To prepare you for the EMT Complete Botox® Training program in Miami, we provide prerequisite instructional materials and optional supplements. These materials cover essential topics from complication avoidance to comprehensive protocols and must be completed to earn your 8-hour AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ certification. Before attending the Miami seminar, you will need to pass a brief knowledge test.

Online Access to Didactic Information

All required instructional materials are accessible through EMT's online portal. Once enrolled, you can also watch our professionally shot video content, which is packed with valuable information and viewable from any device, including smartphones, tablets, and desktops.

If your schedule allows, you have the option to complete live virtual training before attending the in-person workshops.

Training Manual and Videos

Through the EMT educational portal, you must download and view both the required videos and the color training manual. The content is comprehensive and includes valuable information such as:

• Patient Consultation Process: Learn to accurately communicate the expected results of Botox treatments, produce facial/head/neck markings, and perform injection/treatment techniques that align with patient goals.
• Botulinum Toxin Type-A Products: Understand the key characteristics and handling (including dilution, reconstitution, and storage) of botulinum toxin Type-A products.
• Facial Anatomy Concepts: Study important concepts including zones of adherence, facial contraindications, and methods for correcting complications and adverse events.

The manual also covers safe injection techniques, treatment indications, and dosage amounts for various Botox treatments, including:

• Forehead lines
• Lateral canthal rhytids
• Medial and lateral brow (lift)

Accreditation and Credits

The Miami Complete Botox® Training program, including Facial Aesthetics and Dermal Filler workshops, is meticulously crafted to meet the accreditation demands and policies set by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).

Participants can earn 8.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ through Medical Education Resources (MER), an ACCME-accredited organization dedicated to educating and training future aesthetics practitioners. AMA PRA Category 1 Credits can only be claimed once the hands-on training is completed.

For nurses pursuing further education, the program offers 8.0 contact hours upon successful completion. These hours are provided through MER's partnership with the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation and the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider #CEP 12299).

Morning Session Botox Training

7:45 a.m.–8:00 a.m. • Registration.

8:00 a.m.–9:00 a.m. • Speaker Introduction. Review prerequisite video for botulinum toxin training. Overview of procedures to be performed during the hands-on session. Questions & Answers. 

9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. • Hands-On Sessions. Small group breakout sessions with live patients. Attendees will be required to administer botulinum toxin, Type-A FDA-approved products, understanding the unique approach to each patient.

Afternoon Session Dermal Filler Training (separate registration fee)

12:45 p.m.–1:00 p.m. • Registration.

1:00 p.m.–2:00 p.m. • Speaker Introduction. Review prerequisite video for Complete Dermal Filler Training. Overview of procedures to be performed during the hands-on session. Questions & Answers.

2:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. • Hands-On Sessions. Small group breakout sessions with live patients. Attendees will be required to administer HA Dermal Filler FDA-approved products, understanding the unique approach to each patient.

All participants must follow COVID-19 precautions per updated CDC guidelines and must adhere to Empire Medical Training's safety policies. Any patients and/or volunteers must agree to the policies prior to participating in the hands-on session and must adhere to CDC guidelines at all times.

Accreditation Details

How do I become Certified to perform Botox Injections?

You need to enroll in and successfully complete training in an accredited and approved Botox Certification Course (be careful, most are not!). Empire Medical Training has certified more physicians and nurses in Botox administration than any other organization in the US or abroad! In the past 26+ years, Empire has graduated over health care professionals and has been awarded the highest level of CME accreditation for its Botox Certification Courses, the AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

The certification process begins with an intensive didactic presentation, including protocols, guidelines, manufacturer recommendations, and Pearls from Empire’s outstanding “Celebrity” Physician instructors. After the Hands-on training on live patients, applicants will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in a variety of Botox techniques followed by knowledge testing. At the conclusion of the Allergan Botox® Training program, attendees who have completed all aspects of the training and passed the proficiency exam will be awarded their Botox Certification.
