Additional Course Information
Course Overview
Join us in Dallas as we help licensed practitioners find out all about the latest trends and standards in injection techniques. The Advanced Lip Filler Techniques provides a proprietary approach to the latest, most popular lip trends alongside complete protocols for each procedure. Combination therapies with PDO Threads, HA Filler Selection, and Avoidance of Adverse Events are core subjects to be studied throughout the course.
Attendees will learn to understand and visualize patients in a 3-Dimensional Effect Perspective for Lip Enhancement including Euclid Proportion (1:1.6), Steiner Line considerations, and Glogau-Klein point in avoiding overcorrection and unwanted results.
The following lip styles will be reviewed during the Advanced Lip Filler Techniques Course:
- Cosmopolitan Lips
- Metropolitan (Dallaser) Lip Style
- Russian “Baby Doll”
- Glamour Lips
- Reju Lip Style
- Asiatic Lips
- “Key Hole” Pout Lip Presentation
- And others.
The Advanced Lip Filler Techniques Course will focus on the following injection techniques:
Russian Lip Techniques: By vertically injecting the HA product at the base of the lip, with the dermal filler also being injected in a retrograde manner, the product is projected outwards toward the lip border. The technique provides a safer approach, allowing the injector to inject the product from the inside out and producing a natural, refreshing result for the lips.
Microdroplet Technique: An ideal technique when utilizing blunt tip cannulas to reduce the risk of bruising or vascular injury. To enhance the overall features of the lip, every lip crease is injected. A common technique for rejuvenating the philtrum (Cupid’s Bow).
Lip Tenting (Pillar) Technique: Similar in its procedure to the Russian Lip Technique, the Lip Tenting Technique allows for better control of the amount of filler used, which helps control the shape of the lip in comparison to serial threading. An essential technique augmenting the lips of patients with asymmetrical and lip pockets.
Separation Technique: A technique used for rounding the areas of both the lower and upper lip to create a corrected look when the lips are closed. (Keyhole look)
Cross Hatching Technique: A commonly used technique for other types of dermal filler injections. In the correct case scenario, it can enhance and improve certain looks.
Advanced Fanning Technique: A technique that relies on both needle and microcannulas. Similar to other techniques used for parallel-serial injections. This advanced fanning technique can drastically change the lips’ shape for any desired look.
In support of the didactic portion of the course, practitioners will be supervised during the live hands-on training section of the program. There is no charge or fee for any volunteer receiving Botox injections, dermal fillers, or any other aesthetic procedure during the program. Attendees may bring their own volunteer or notify Empire Medical Training 7 days before visiting Dallas.
