Driving Directions From Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport

• Exit the Airport: Begin by exiting the airport and follow signs for I-595 W/I-95/Florida's Turnpike.
• Merge onto I-595 W: Merge onto I-595 W via the ramp to I-95/Florida's Turnpike and continue for about 3 miles.
• Take I-95 N: Use the right 2 lanes to take exit 10B to merge onto I-95 N toward W Palm Beach.
• Exit from I-95 N: Continue on I-95 N for approximately 2 miles and then take exit 27 for Broward Blvd toward Downtown.
• Head East on Broward Blvd: Keep left at the fork, follow signs for Broward Boulevard E/Downtown and merge onto W Broward Blvd.
• Turn Left on US-1 N: Turn left onto US-1 N/N Federal Hwy. You will need to follow US-1 N for about 1 mile.

Getting around Fort Lauderdale and Miami

Travel options in Fort Lauderdale and Miami are far and wide, meaning plenty of options for you. In Fort Lauderdale, the Sun Trolley Hop-on bus covers downtown and beach roads and only costs $3 for an all-day pass. If you want to remain active during your trip, opt for the Broward Bcycle Bike Share System. Pay $5 to use the bike for 30 minutes.

If you are traveling from Miami into Fort Lauderdale, you can use the public transport services in place or travel by car. The train is often the fastest way to reach Fort Lauderdale, taking only about half an hour.

To prepare you for the EMT Complete Botox® Training program, we provide prerequisite instructional materials and optional supplements. The prerequisite materials, which cover everything from complication avoidance to thorough protocols, need to be completed for your 8-hour AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ certification. Before attending the Fort Lauderdale/Miami seminar, you must pass a short knowledge test.

All didactic information is accessible through EMT's online portal. Once signed up, you also have the opportunity to watch our video content. These videos are professionally shot and packed with valuable information, and are viewable from any device, including smartphones, tablets, and desktops.

If there's space available in your schedule, there's the chance to complete live virtual training prior to attending the workshops in person.

Color Training Manual & Videos

Via the EMT educational portal, it is mandatory you download and view both the necessary videos and color training manual. The content is comprehensive and packs in a lot of valuable information, including:

• The patient consultation process. This includes communicating the expected results of Botox treatments accurately, producing facial/head/neck markings, and injection/treatment techniques that align with patient goals
• Key characteristics and handling (including dilution, reconstitution, and storage) of botulinum toxin Type-A products
• Important facial anatomy concepts, including zones of adherence, facial contraindications, and correcting complications and adverse events

Additional Aesthetic Procedures and Advanced Injection Techniques

The Fort Lauderdale/Miami Complete Botox® Training course has an evident focus on one particular area: Botox. However, the program also teaches participants to perform dermal fillers and other popular facial aesthetics treatments. By taking your clinical studies to the next level and expanding the range of treatments you offer, your practice can grow and ultimately enhance patient satisfaction.

Our Fort Lauderdale/Miami Complete Botox Training program, which features Facial Aesthetics and Dermal Filler workshops, has been crafted with meticulous detail. One important step we made was to meet the accreditation demands and policies set by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.

The 8.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ that are part of our program are awarded by the Medical Education Resources. The MER, an ACCME-accredited organization, is dedicated to educating and training future aesthetics practitioners. Partnering with the MER gives us the confidence to supply the best program for participants. Note: AMA PRA Category 1 Credits can only be claimed once the hands-on training has been completed.

Are you pursuing a career as a nurse? If so, you can acquire 8.0 contact hours for your nursing education upon successful completion of our program. These hours are provided due to the MER's partnership with the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. • Hands-On Sessions. Small group breakout sessions with live patients. Attendees will be required to administer botulinum toxin, Type-A FDA-approved products, understanding the unique approach to each patient.

Afternoon Session Dermal Filler Training (separate registration fee)

12:45 p.m.–1:00 p.m. • Registration.

1:00 p.m.–2:00 p.m. • Speaker Introduction. Review prerequisite video for Complete Dermal Filler Training. Overview of procedures to be performed during the hands-on session. Questions & Answers.

2:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. • Hands-On Sessions. Small group breakout sessions with live patients. Attendees will be required to administer HA Dermal Filler FDA-approved products, understanding the unique approach to each patient.

All participants must follow COVID-19 precautions per updated CDC guidelines and must adhere to Empire Medical Training's safety policies. Any patients and/or volunteers must agree to the policies prior to participating in the hands-on session and must adhere to CDC guidelines at all times.

Accreditation Details

How do I become Certified to perform Botox Injections?

You need to enroll in and successfully complete training in an accredited and approved Botox Certification Course (be careful, most are not!). Empire Medical Training has certified more physicians and nurses in Botox administration than any other organization in the US or abroad! In the past 26+ years, Empire has graduated over health care professionals and has been awarded the highest level of CME accreditation for its Botox Certification Courses, the AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

The certification process begins with an intensive didactic presentation, including protocols, guidelines, manufacturer recommendations, and Pearls from Empire’s outstanding “Celebrity” Physician instructors. After the Hands-on training on live patients, applicants will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in a variety of Botox techniques followed by knowledge testing. At the conclusion of the Allergan Botox® Training program, attendees who have completed all aspects of the training and passed the proficiency exam will be awarded their Botox Certification.
