Workshop Prerequisites

Preparation is essential for the Philadelphia Complete Botox® Training program. Fortunately, we have covered all bases in that regard. Via our state-of-the-art online educational portal, you can access all prerequisite instructional materials – including professionally produced videos and a comprehensive color training manual – as soon as you sign up for the program.

From complication avoidance to in-depth protocols, the prerequisite materials cover various topics you need to be aware of before starting your in-person training. To ensure you have consumed the information, you must pass a short knowledge test beforehand. Completing these aspects is necessary to acquire your 8-hour AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ certification.

If you cannot spare an entire weekend for your in-person training, we can also provide a live virtual training session. By completing this session, you can significantly reduce your in-person work.

Color Training Manual & Videos

The color training manual and videos are accessible via the EMT educational portal. These materials are viewable on all suitable devices, including smartphones, tablets, and desktop computers. They also cover the likes of:

• The patient consultation process. This includes communicating the expected results of Botox treatments accurately, producing facial/head/neck markings, and injection/treatment techniques that align with patient goals

Despite what the name suggests, the Philadelphia Complete Botox® Training program teaches you about more than just Botox. It places a strong emphasis on teaching participants about other facial aesthetic procedures – such as dermal fillers. With this expanded knowledge, your practice can ultimately provide more services for patients.

To meet the policies and demands of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, the program’s workshops – Complete Botox Training, Dermal Filler, and Facial Aesthetics – were put together with incredible care and attention. By going to these lengths, we are able to provide 8.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ to those that complete the program. The awarding of these credits is possible due to our association with the ACCME-accredited Medication Education Resources.

Another organization we work with is the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This partnership is beneficial for nurses that sign up for our training. Once the program is completed, these healthcare professionals can claim 8.0 contact hours for their continued nursing education.

9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. • Hands-On Sessions. Small group breakout sessions with live patients. Attendees will be required to administer botulinum toxin, Type-A FDA-approved products, understanding the unique approach to each patient.

Afternoon Session Dermal Filler Training (separate registration fee)

12:45 p.m.–1:00 p.m. • Registration.

1:00 p.m.–2:00 p.m. • Speaker Introduction. Review prerequisite video for Complete Dermal Filler Training. Overview of procedures to be performed during the hands-on session. Questions & Answers.

2:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. • Hands-On Sessions. Small group breakout sessions with live patients. Attendees will be required to administer HA Dermal Filler FDA-approved products, understanding the unique approach to each patient.

All participants must follow COVID-19 precautions per updated CDC guidelines and must adhere to Empire Medical Training’s safety policies. Any patients and/or volunteers must agree to the policies prior to participating in the hands-on session and must adhere to CDC guidelines at all times.

Accreditation Details

How do I become Certified to perform Botox Injections?

You need to enroll in and successfully complete training in an accredited and approved Botox Certification Course (be careful, most are not!). Empire Medical Training has certified more physicians and nurses in Botox administration than any other organization in the US or abroad! In the past 26+ years, Empire has graduated over health care professionals and has been awarded the highest level of CME accreditation for its Botox Certification Courses, the AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

The certification process begins with an intensive didactic presentation, including protocols, guidelines, manufacturer recommendations, and Pearls from Empire’s outstanding “Celebrity” Physician instructors. After the Hands-on training on live patients, applicants will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in a variety of Botox techniques followed by knowledge testing. At the conclusion of the Allergan Botox® Training program, attendees who have completed all aspects of the training and passed the proficiency exam will be awarded their Botox Certification.
