Additional Course Information

Course Overview

If you’re not yet convinced in our program, here’s more details on what it offers.

Our Detroit Complete Botox® Training program pairs didactic lectures (classroom learning) with hands-on training.

The Botox training program provides the fundamentals of botulinum toxin Type-A and cosmetic indications for its use. You’ll leave the lecture hall with the knowledge you need to administer all common and not-so-common procedures involving Botox and to perform other common facial esthetics techniques.

This course is approved for 8 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ hours.

Our hybrid training includes hands-on practice with live volunteer patients. Board-certified top-tier physician experts supervise all procedures. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to administer Botox to patients presenting with a variety of common facial rhytids such as crow’s feet, forehead lines, glabellar lines, or other aesthetic signs and complaints (subject to review by our supervising physicians).

Our expert board-certified physician instructors — all of whom are practice owners (top-tier renowned physicians) with years of Botox injection experience — will guide you through the procedure and provide helpful feedback that you can take back to your practice.

Throughout the weekend, practitioners will learn about techniques with Botox injections and how to perform other aesthetic procedures such as dermal fillers and facial aesthetic procedures.

All programs are AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ accredited. You’ll have the confidence and capability to perform a broader range of cosmetic procedures using techniques you won’t learn anywhere else, all under the direct supervision and instruction of Empire’s highly recognized team of physician instructors. You will incorporate these newly learned and high-demand procedures to your Michigan aesthetics practice and the people who matter most — your patients.

What to Do In Detroit

We hope you’ll take some time outside of training to explore Detroit and maybe even beyond. Some of the city’s most popular attractions lie within a short walk or drive from the venue, so you will not have to go too far away, no matter if you are searching for some outdoor activities or some cultural attractions.

Outdoor Activities in Detroit and Surrounding Areas

The weather in and around Detroit can get mighty cold for outdoor activity during the winter months, but if you wrap up warm, you can still enjoy everything that the city and surrounding area have to offer. The summer months are much more agreeable in terms of the weather. There is plenty to experience and enjoy, including:

  • The Detroit Riverfront: Spanning the area between Joe Louis Arena to Gabriel Richard Park, this is an outdoor space packed full of fountains, pavilions, parks, and plazas. An ideal spot for a stroll.
  • Detroit Zoo: As well as all the animals that you can see and appreciate, there is plenty more to this part of town, including a 3D theater, carousel, Rackham Fountain, and much, much more.
  • Eastern Market: An outdoor space open all year round, this is the largest historic market in the area. The warmer months are particularly lively and exciting.
  • Belle Isle: This island park offers 982 acres of space that is ready and waiting to be explored. Developed in the late 19th century, it has been an area to escape to for decades.
  • Milliken State Park: Located just east of downtown Detroit, 31 acres of wetlands are easily explorable by the many paved trails dotted around.
  • Kent Lake: If you want to feel like you have escaped the city, this 1,200-acre reservoir lake can easily feel like it is a whole world away.

Culture and Entertainment in Detroit and Beyond

Detroit is one of the main cities and cultural hotspots of the Midwest. Some of these attractions and experiences can be found within walking distance of our host hotel, while others are just a short drive away. This is the kind of city in which there is a lot going on all the time, so there is likely to be no shortage of things to do and see.

  • Detroit Institute of Arts: In the center of the midtown area is the 130-year-old museum, which features more than 65,000 works of art spanning the classic to the contemporary.
  • Motown Museum: There is no doubt that Detroit is one of the main cultural centers of Motown music, and this museum gives you an excellent overview of how the style developed and why it became so popular.
  • Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation: One of Michigan’s most famous names was Henry Ford, who was credited with revolutionizing the manufacturing process all over the world. This museum tells his story in detail.
  • The Belt: While the alley that it is located down may seem like it is nothing all that special, it is a great place to enjoy a drink and enjoy the unique artwork.
  • Fox Theater: All sorts of productions are hosted at this iconic venue that you can go and experience for yourself, including comedy, live music, and orchestral performances.
  • Greektown: For a big night on the town, this is probably the spot you should be heading for first and foremost. Eating some of the local cuisine is a must.
